Your hardest problem, already solved at national scale.

Fragmented regulatory data, mobile field workflows, legacy-to-cloud migration - three problems social housing faces now. We solved all three at national scale in the NHS, at NHS Digital and across NHS Trusts. The same methodology and the same people transfer directly to housing; here is the proof.

Pseudonymised, validated datasets flowing to national and regional users.

Turning fragmented regulatory data into board-ready insight.

We delivered this for NHS Digital, linking fragmented national health data under tight governance. Consumer Standards C1-C4 put social housing in the same position: the evidence exists, but it is scattered, and governance has to hold up.

Challenge
  • Data fragmented across systems, governance read differently by each team
  • Lawful data linkage blocked; insight trapped in silos
  • Regulator's evidence expectation outpaced the board pack
What we did
  • Stakeholder-alignment workshops to fix shared objectives
  • Mapped and optimised the end-to-end pipelines
  • Governance framework balancing data utility with privacy
  • Phased roadmap: quick wins on scalable architecture
Result
  • Secure pipelines delivered into production
  • Validated datasets serving regional and national users
  • Clear data lineage, standards compliance restored
  • Actionable insight into patterns of access and experience
The social housing parallel

Every registered provider is now under Consumer Standards C1-C4 scrutiny. The Housing Ombudsman publishes hundreds of determinations a quarter; the RSH publishes its grading judgements. The data exists - but it is fragmented across systems, governance is read differently by each team, and the regulator's expectation of evidence outpaces the average board pack.

From Discovery to live launch on a national mobile rollout.
Delivered forNHS TrustsCapacity Grids field app

Mobile-first inspection capture for the front line.

We rebuilt a desktop-only inspection system for NHS Trusts, built for frontline staff capturing data away from a desk. Housing faces the same shift now: stock-condition surveys and Awaab's Law hazard reports moving onto phones in stairwells.

Challenge
  • Legacy web-app was desktop-only, it failed on the ward floor
  • Frontline staff needed reliable data entry on mobile
  • Low adoption meant data quality was suffering
What we did
  • Discovery: interviews, journey mapping, live observation
  • Interactive prototypes shaped by user feedback
  • Mobile responsiveness across every major browser
  • Streamlined fields; GDS & NHS service-design standards
Result
  • Live updates from mobile devices at the point of work
  • Simplified layouts cut input errors
  • Higher engagement and significant time savings
  • Real-time visibility improved resource allocation
The social housing parallel

Stock-condition surveys, Awaab's Law hazard reports, and routine compliance inspections are moving onto mobile on the front line. Housing officers, repairs operatives and tenancy staff need forms that work on a phone in a stairwell, not a desktop browser in the office. Most providers' legacy systems were never built for that - and both data quality and inspection coverage suffer for it.

Zero
Patient-care disruption across a live cloud migration, delivered in six months.
Delivered forNHS DigitalGPDC migration to AWS

Legacy system migration to the cloud, with zero unplanned service disruption.

We migrated a live national health data system to the cloud for NHS Digital, with zero disruption to services. Moving a tenant database, repairs platform or rent ledger carries the same risk: get it wrong and residents feel it.

Challenge
  • Application on outdated hardware, constrained memory and storage
  • Interconnected databases made lift-and-shift impossible
  • Continuity critical, data feeds direct patient care
What we did
  • Requirements captured into a prioritised backlog
  • MVP built on AWS alongside the legacy system
  • Parallel testing with live-service teams
  • Controlled off-peak switchover, full knowledge handover
Result
  • Delivered on time, within six months
  • Cloud resilience and scalability; legacy constraints gone
  • Uninterrupted data collection through the switchover
  • Security and compliance maintained to strict standards
The social housing parallel

Most housing associations run legacy management systems on ageing infrastructure, while the Consumer Standards regime expects evidence of resilience and data security, and sector data-sharing needs modern cloud-resident systems. Lift-and-shift is rarely possible - interconnected databases and dependent interfaces get in the way. Get it wrong and the cost is service disruption to tenants who have nowhere else to turn.

The methodology transfers. Let's talk about your data.

Whether it's regulatory reporting, mobile inspection capture, or a cloud migration, we've run it at national scale and can run it for you.
